SUN IN CONSTELLATION OF DELPHINI FEB. 5-18: TRANSCENDING EGO FOR HUMANITY

EYE ON THE SKY: SUN IN DHANISHTA FEB 5-18 (Capricorn 23.20-Aquarius 6.40)

The Sun moves into the constellation of Delphini the Dolphin know in Vedic astrology as Dhanishta Feb. 5-18tH ,  which is located Capricorn 23.20-Aquarius 10.

The constellation is connected to music and mastery over the material plane. Its nature is very diverse as it can adapt to any situation it finds itself in.  This constellation is ruled by Mars and Mars is a bit weak in transit no in Saturn’s constellation so mental matrix is a bit more angry and frustrated and more fire energy is stirred up.  Still Dhanishta is a very satvic constellation for Mars but is troubled by the need to sacrifice personal needs for the global good and this is sometimes a hard less to learn.  Let go of ego and go out and do some service work or at least donate to charity to utilize this energy. This constellation can give fame and abundance if you do not get caught up in personal glory.

The Sun is particularly strong in the first pada of this transit ruled by Leo, Feb. 5-8th (Capricorn 23.20-26.40) and the lesson again is service and responsibility over personal glory. The second section in Virgo is more supportive for business and material manifestation.  The Sun moves into Aquarius, Feb. 12th and this can lead to a lack of confidence Feb. 12-15th  and again the solution is do service and let go of individual needs.

People with Sun, moon or their ascendant in this constellation are brave warriors, often military leaders, do well with sports and are ambitious. People also excel here in organizational leadership and are very disciplined. It bestows wealth and success for people particularly if Mars and Saturn are well-placed in people’s charts. The symbol of this star is the drum and the Sanskrit name means the wealthiest or the most beneficent or the most heard of.  The constellation is ruled by the 8 Vasus which are usually connected to 8 gods including Apah the water goddess, Drhuv the pole star, Dhar, the bearer of water pouring from the pot, Anil or Vayu the wind god, Som, the moon diety and Pratyush which is Usha, the bearer of the dawn and Prabhas, the solar diety of the morning.  Shiva is the main diety of this constellation and which destroys ignorance and the craziness of the mind but does so with musical grace.

Aries and Scorpio and Leo rising will particularly feel the strong energy and success that this constellation brings. Good time for success and recognition and organization and musical and artistic expression.  Aquarians will have the most trouble with this transit with challenges with leadership and authority.

The Sun is moving toward a Lunar eclipse on Feb. 10th and then a major Solar Eclipse on Feb. 26th and we will have to talk about these later as they get closer.
