This is a minor eclipse except for people living in South America with countries like Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina, which are on the edge politically and economically being most impacted. If you are Gemini or Sagittarius rising or have key planets between 15-19 degrees Gemini, and are running Rahu or Ketu periods, this eclipse may impact you the most. If you are Leo or Cancer rising you may feel it and be impacted by it more.
We have talked about meditating and fasting during the eclipse with no food 3 hours before and then not eating until 3 hours after the eclipse is over.  Water is fine but there is no agni to digest anything so even fruit should be avoided but if you have blood sugar problems then take care of yourself.  Some people believe that if you potential health problems in your chart in the coming months and that if you watch the eclipse, then they are more likely to manifest. Sun is a karaka or signifier for health so that makes sense. Good day not to plan anything auspicious and rest, meditate, listen to chanting and do mundane things. The eclipse starts late in the afternoon so it should not negatively impact too much of your day.
So the positives for the Solar eclipse is that it can make you sensitive to seen unseen realms and other realities and this can be jarring for the emotions and psychology sometimes and can bring up fears and phobias, isolation, illusion and paranoia. Â Definitely do not pay attention or act on thoughts during an eclipse.
Solar eclipses impact the soul level and the bright spot is that they may bestow keen psychological and philosophical or spiritual insights but examine them in common sense the next day. It is possible in rare instances that an eclipse can bring good fortune to the significations of the house being impacted. Â Still if you have planets within 3 degrees of the eclipse at 17 Gemini , particularly the Sun, Moon, Ascendant or Midheaven (10th house cusp), there may be a major impact. Â Sometimes the impact can last for 6 months until the next eclipse. This can help with emotional and mental clarity during and after the eclipse and smooth out health and larger issues in your life if your are in a difficult dasha period.
The eclipse is happening in the constellation of Ardra (Gemini 6.40-20.00) which can stir up emotional storms so it may be more potent than usual. Prayers to Lord Rudra and listening to Shiva Rudram during the eclipse will be beneficial.
IMPACT ON MUNDANE ASTROLOGY:
Solar eclipses on a Tuesday can increase upward price action for red-colored commodities like wheat and will have a delayed impact after 4 months. We could see an impact for wheat, sugar, and silver prices to the upside. Often major market turning points happen into eclipses and gold and Bitcoin have been rallying into the eclipse and that may be the end for that huge speculative move and they may need to take a rest.
Politically the US is a Sagittarius country and the house of enemies is Gemini or the 7th house where the eclipse is happening so it possible that an Iran or China could escalate the political tensions.
The eclipse is in the month of Asadha so it will impact China and Afghanistan and the Punjab regions of India the most with political crises likely there over the next 6 months. There may be some loss of crops and a steep rise in grains as a result of this eclipse this summer in impacted growing areas where the eclipse is visible such as South America where soybeans and corn are grown. The eclipse is in a dual sign so it can create labor unrest, strikes and increase rioting and increase religious unrest. It usually causes slumps in share markets. World stock markets often go down from June into September and the eclipse may stir a correction –but not a crash. Political unrest is strong. Look for a difficult summer for South American politics which have been on edge and already the President of Brazil was found with 39 kilos of cocaine in his presidential plane.
Venus aspecting Gemini during the eclipse can hurt crops but will be beneficial for commerce. It can increase inflation for countries impacted on the Gemini/Sagittarius axis.  Saturn aspecting the eclipse can increase scanty rains and create political upheaval in the masses and positively impact metals and mining stocks. This can increase strikes in populations around the world that are feeling depressed by unfair wage structures.
