EYE ON THE SKY: DON’T SHOOT THE WEATHERMAN–I JUST TELL YOU WHAT I SEE
The bright spots on the horizon are Sun and Leo and that is helping Leo Rising and support career for Scorpios and spiritual development for Sagittarius but its still a bit rough and rocky out there until early October.
Venus combustion continues into Sept. 17th and it goes into its fallen state on Sept 9th when relationship energy is put to the critical test if we are too critical and not unable to love unconditionally through our relationship flaws. Venus goes into Libra Oct. 3rd for for a big relief.
The elephant in the room is still Saturn and Ketu moving together retrograde and in tight conjunction slowing down everything and creating some depression and malaise. Saturn turns direct on Sept. 18th and finally it will pass Ketu and get past the critical 3 degrees conjunction in late October in the mean node system. Direct Saturn can be dealt with a whole lot easier and will diminish suffering so hang in there if you are Capricorn or Aquarius rising although Capricorn rising has had the most difficult time with the whole thing this summer.
Mars is moving toward conjunction with the Sun into Sept 2nd exactly. They are pretty tightly conjunct already within 4 degrees and this can increase fatigue for Aries and Scorpio rising and tax all our adrenals. The two fire planet are friends and Mars can handle the Sun combustion better than most planets. The more difficult week is August 25-30 when Mars in the Cancer section of Leo (Navamsha or D9) so fatigue will be strong and do not push it that week. Rebirth will happen into the heart of the Sun with the Mars cazimi (medival astrology) into August 30-Sept. 3rd. These conjunctions still cause tensions but can bring spiritual rejuvenation and great magnetic power for Aries and Scorpio rising of if Mars is a key planet for your chart. On the mundane level, more forest fires may breakout than normal but luckily many parts of the country are wetter this year. In Oct. 2007 when we had the last major Saturn/Ketu conjunction we did have major fires breaking out in California so the combination with Mars this year is messy.
The Kala Sarpa Yoga in transit returns on August 26th as the Moon goes past Rahu in transit into Gemini and continues until Sept. 9th. This will increase aggressive energy and the combust Mars will probably be even more irritable so remember to stay cool, avoid spicy foods and stay on top of your yoga and meditation and trips to the pool to stay calm
Mercury goes into Leo, August 26-Sept. 11th increasing more fire energy but gets into Virgo after Sept. 11th until Sept. 29th inaugurated love of learning and enhanced communications and supporting business expansion. Only a Saturn aspect late in the transit will mar the landscape.
Jupiter is still in the Capricorn section of Scorpio (Scorpio 20-23.20) until Sept. 26th. It tends to support business in that section but can be too over-optimistic and move away from its spiritual dharma and wisdom. It stays happy until late October when it goes into the troubled area of the gandanta or emotional knot at the end of the Scorpio until it moves into Sagittarius on Nov. 2nd. The first part of the transit through the constellation of Moola (Sagittarius 0-13.20) will continue into Jan. 4, 2020 which could bring some upheavals for certain rising signs as Moola is a troubled area of the zodiac for spiritual transformation.
Rahu moves into the constellation of Ardra, Sept. 11th in the Mean node system and stays there until May 20th . (see last week’s article) Ardra is connected to Lord Shiva and Rudra and tends to bring major transformation through deep suffering but ultimately is beneficial for our growth. The last time we had Rahu in Ardra in 2001, we had 9/11 with the twin towers falling so it can bring problems. This time however, Jupiter will be aspecting it from Sagittarius so it will be stronger and do less harm.
We do sense that things are lighter starting with Mercury in Virgo in mid-September and increasing with Venus in Libra in early October and the Sun is strong for a few months and Jupiter’s energy will continue to guide us and keep us optimistic. Stay on top of your spiritual practice and you will sail through the rest of the summer and fall storms.
