EYE ON THE SKY: MARS WITH A SPIRITUAL FIRE
With the moon in Leo the next few days on August 29-30, we have 5 planets in Leo forming a powerful Leo Stellium at the new moon which can be powerful for spiritual unfoldment but it may be too much fire power at the moment and there are a lot of short fuses with Mars and Venus still combust and hidden by the Sun and the Kala Sarpa Yoga in transit which increases aggressive and solar energy. Virgos may be finding it particularly intense with 5 planets in the 12th house with a lot of subconscious grunge coming up. Libras may find a lot of gains and fulfillment of desires and Scorpios have incredible intensity and success at work and Sagittarius is probably getting the best of the spiritual energy . Capricorns probably suffering from a lot of 8th house transits which bring unpleasant surprises out of nowhere with Aquarius suffering through a lot of intense relationship karma in a big way.
Mars is in a tight conjunction with the Sun within two degrees until Sept 6th with an exact conjunction into Sept 2nd. . Fighting energy is strong and you will stand up against anyone and not give way. This can be a problem at work if you are not the boss. The aspect can give great physical energy and can allow you to work hard and have high energy but you have to avoid being reckless in order to avoid accidents or injuries.
I learn a lot from my Western astrological friends. While combustion is one of the most damaging things for a planet in Vedic astrology, it turns out total combustion within the last degree is a blessing or specifically 17 minutes. I find a 1 degree conjunction powerful . So Sept 1-3 Mars will be very strong.
The exact conjunction of the Sun with Mars on Sept 2nd at 6:43 AM so observe if you are Scoprio or Aries rising or have Mars in the first house or Mars in natal Leo. This exact conjunction is called cazimi and comes from medieval astrology and it used to refer to planets that are so close to a conjunction with the Sun that they are “in the heart” of the Sun. It is happening in the constellation of Purva Phalguni which is a very sexual constellation so deep passion and energy could emerge.
Planets on top of the Sun actually become energized by the Sun and their most positive qualities come out. An example of cazimi is Oprah Winfrey who has a cazimi Venus in her natal chart; it has made her an incredible star to women and brought out her acting and relationship abilities with the public to a pinnacle. Venus Cazimi should be a great day for creativity, artistic development and love. With Mars, it may bring out strong initiative, stamina, strength, success in competition and male prowess.
Still before the focal point on Monday, it may seem intense. If you find yourself getting into angry shouting matches with your spouse or partner or boss, pullback, get some extra exercise, scream it out in the car alone or drink lots of coconut milk that calms the fire. The intensity of this situation is not going to lift probably until after Sept 9th when the Kala Sarpa Yoga in transit gets a break for two weeks when the moon moves into Capricorn.
