EYE ON ASTROLOGY:
The south node takes 18.5 years to rotate through the zodiac and Ketu, is very close to the same place it was on Sept. 11, 2001. At that time we had Ketu at about 7 degrees Sagittarius conjunct Mars and this year we had Ketu conjunct Mars at around 10-11 degrees Sagittarius. The United States has its ascendant at about 6 degrees Sagittarius according to the chart I got from Chakrapani. We will have Ketu going over the Dec, 26th solar eclipse point at about 10 degrees Sagittarius over the next week. While the US has some mass hysteria, one has to think that it will increase over the next few weeks.
But remember fear is a bit irrational and like 9/11 there were no more terrorist attacks and our fears were a bit unfounded. The virus is very real but it is dangerous for elderly people who have lung issues or compromised health and we have to protect them most but many people may just have mild flu symptoms. Stay rested, keep your immune system strong and you will be fine. This is not something out of the movie The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton.
If you remember the energy around 9/11, people had all kinds of irrational fears that another terrorist attack would hit. They were afraid to go out and then we had the Anthrax scare when government officials were mailed Anthrax powder in envelopes. That mass fear seemed to go on for at least 2-3 months and the financial markets were greatly impacted. It was all a bit irrational. It is part of Ketu in Mula Nakshatra (Sagittarius 0-13.20) and we have written about this. Ketu is not fully out of this nakshatra until September and will probably have an impact until November. The combination now with Saturn conjunct Pluto within a few degrees is also making the mass hysteria a bit stronger and we have written about it.
You have to combat fear by doing mediation, drinking calming herbal teas, doing your yoga and staying out of the hysteria of the media. The regular flu infects and kills more people every season. Yes take all the precautions that you are hearing about but know that the Divine has a bigger plan and you are protected and death is the biggest illusion anyway even if your time is coming.
I suspect things will seem worse over the next month but we will get through it. I always am inspired by this quote from my favorite book:
