SATURN SQUARE URANUS
Feb. 17, 2021; June 14, 2021 and Dec. 24, 2021.
I learn a lot from Western Astrologers and the larger planetary aspects of the outer planets always impact world events and also have an impact on personal lives.As a Neo-Vedic astrology I have had too much personal experience with the outer planets hitting key area of my life to ignore them. In fact on Jan. 20th with the Mars /Uranus conjunction in sidereal Aries , I ended up unexpected in the emergency room with burst blood vessel. I am ruled by Mars and Aries is my house. No surprises here. (I am doing fine it was quick and just a surprise.)
Neo-Vedic astrologer,Dennis Harness, notes that Uranus is connected to Vedic mythology:
” Prajapati is the lord of progeny and creativity. He “exerts his heat and duplicates himself” and his “divine voice sounds like thunder”. One of the translations of Prajapati is Indra, the lord of thunder and lightning. A similarity to the planet Uranus can easily be seen. Uranus represents the Prometheus myth of bringing fire to earth, the bringer of change and innovation. Uranus is often associated with heat, lightning and thunder. He was also the father of Venus, the goddess of creativity. Narendra Desai felt that Uranus was a higher octave of Mercury, the god of creative intellect. He said that a prominent Uranus was often seen in the chart of a good astrologer.”
The waning square between Saturn and Uranus will become exact on February 17, 2021 at 12 degrees Capricorn to 12 degrees Aries and , then again on June 14, 2021 at 18 degrees Capricorn to 18 Aries and for a final time on December 24, 2021 at 17 degrees Capricorn to 17 degrees of Aries.
In Mundane astrology, Saturn /Uranus aspects tend to create tension between authority and freedom and structure and change and leading to sudden collapse of societal structures. While the mainstream media does not readily report it, Italy restaurants have said no to government shutdowns and are staying open in defiance of government lock-downs. Major maskless gatherings in Amsterdam and German have protested lock-downs and the Saturn/Uranus squares will continue these rebellions.
Historically, Saturn/Uranus squares have been important in history in restructuring major investment infrastructures, overthrows of governments and rebellions against institutions that restrict freedom. The Saturn/Uranus conjunction in 1988 in Sagittarius lead to the crumbling down of the Berlin Wall and the fall of the Soviet Union. The current cycle which began in 1988 is reaching a new tension point with US and Russian relations. Biden seems to be going after Putin and making Russia the center of all the problems in the world. Will something more serious happens as the return of the war-mongering US seems ready to want to start a war with the Russia? Let’s hope not.
With the Saturn/Pluto conjunction and the taking over of power by government in response to Covid, the Saturn/Uranus square certainly has something to rebel against. Ex-Mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel was fond of saying, never let a good crisis go to waste and leaders all over the world have done that as people in power like Gov. Newsome in California and Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan have imposed sweeping and Draconian laws that have not helped the situation . A huge wave of petitions to recall Gov. Newsome in California and articles of impeachment against Gov Whitmer have been happening but the energy has not be strong enough yet to create the change but it should happen. This is Saturn/Uranus at work.
Big sweeping events can occur with Saturn/Uranus aspects. In July 1931, Saturn squared Uranus from Sagittarius to Pisces and that was marking the start of the Great Depression which lead to sweeping governmental change with the New Deal. The US Civil War started April 12, 1861 with Uranus conjunct Mars in Taurus squaring Saturn in Leo within 6 degrees. Everyone is expecting an economic downturn and the Saturn/Jupiter conjunction which we had in Dec. 2020 often marks the start of a 2-3 year economic recession but given the massive about debt in the world something great could be happening and the head of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab are wanting to move the world into a socialist utopia controlled with helicopter money if you behave. In the US, we worry about a Civil War as red and blue states get more divided and while we think the US will eventually break-up into regions, not sure it will happen this year. The recent military coup in Myanmar (formerly Burma) is another example of Saturn/Pluto and Saturn/Uranus at work.
With Jupiter going into Aquarius April 4, 2021 til Sept. 14, 2021 and then again in Nov. 2021, we have hopes that deeper societal changes will develop for the good. Let’s hope that Jupiter in Aquarius can bring mankind together and foster more community and provide a supportive lift with wisdom to provide visionary creativity to solve the many difficult challenges facing our changing world. Saturn going into Aquarius in May 2022 and will separate from Pluto and this should also lift some of the power-hungry governments and allow more freedom and choice and wisdom to tackle our difficult problems. Still with the whole year being marked by Saturn/Uranus square, expect continued change and revolution in our society and it is never easy with Saturn in Capricorn with Pluto and hopes for an easier time should come after April 2021 and then into 2022.
Do you best to accept others and their points of view and move beyond the continued hate-mongering if the media trying to divide and destroy us. I have a lot of dear conservative friends and they love God and they work hard and they are not the white supremacist Nazis and terrorists that the media is stereotyping them into. What is going on here? Look and think deeply. A few nut jobs in either party should not be considered the norm or a reason to destroy our country. Move beyond hate and accept other’s point of view. The truth is always somewhere in the middle.
