Rahu, the planet of desire, deception and addiction moves into a into a new constellation ca;;ed Krittika which is know by the West as the Pleiades (Aries 26.40-Taurus 10) on Tuesday, Oct 5th and stays there until July 2022. Rahu is considered exalted in Taurus because it’s material desire nature goes well with that of Venus and Taurus. So the quest for greed and more material stuff will continue for a while. Rahu an the Sun are great enemies and the association is not great but at least it may give our emotions a break after the many month in Rohini, owned by the Moon, where emotional paranoia and fear were stirred up and centered around the killer Covid virus. When we can get Saturn out of Shravana in Feb. 2022, then may be our emotional bodies will get a bit of rest.
Western astronomers connect this constellation with the Pleiades or the seven sisters. The ruling planet of the constellation is the Sun with Agni, the God of Fire, as the residing deity. The shakti of this lunar mansion is ‘the power to burn away the negativity to get to the truth”. We really need that in today’s deception and confusing world. Given all the smoke and mirrors with politics and the media, this energy will be welcome. It has has a stronger nature for fulfilling material desires and its symbol is a razor which cuts through the “bull” to get through to the truth. The constellation allows one to go through extreme purification and get through blocks on the path. The Taurus side of Krittika which is happening through March 2022 is better then the Aries side but both tend to increase the power of sensuality, desire and power. Given our fragile political system, we do not need in increase in power hungry politicians but that is what we will get.
Rahu is an enemy of the Sun as it can eclipse the light and hence the darker forces can take-over. Still on the Taurus side, good people will use the empowerment for better purposes. The Divine power of the Sun will help Rahu see it’s darker and greedier nature and reach higher. The Lunar Eclipse in this constellation on Nov. 19th and the Solar Eclipse in Jyestha Nakshatra on Dec. 4th will be key fulcrum points for this energy. During the eclipse, Rahu robs the Sun of it’s energy and is uplifted by the light and can dive deep into seeing it’s hidden shadows.
The 4th pada, of Krittika is owned by Pisces and has hidden power because it is Pushkara and it can increase creativity and the Rahu does well with the influence of Jupiter. Still Moksha padas are about letting go and dissolving and moving toward transcendence and Rahu here will increase that desire so maybe time for meditation retreats and spiritual time This part of transit will happen until mid-January 2022. We wil write about the other padas as they manifest next year.
