JUPITER IN ARIES:  APRIL 21, 2023- MAY 1, 2024:  THE CALL TO ADVENTURE

Jupiter will transit into Aries beginning on April 21, 2023, at 19:43  Eastern Daylight Time and will stay there for almost 12.5 months as it goes retrograde Sept 4-Dec. 30th.   Jupiter is a slow-moving planet and takes about 1 year in each sign of the zodiac and that is the basis of the Chinese zodiacal calendar. 

Jupiter is the Guru, the teacher, the counselor, the priest, and the advisor of the gods and is connected to religion and spirituality, children, Divine grace, enthusiasm, economic expansion, higher education, and growth.  It is friends with Mars and so is happy in Aries and supports courage and adventure and supports advancement of career, leadership, and good ethical behavior when it is unafflicted. 

Jupiter in Aries will promote our personal courage and business and entrepreneurial energies and take bold steps to create a better life. Aries is connected to the ego and our identity and Jupiter in Aries will promote our self-esteem and self-confidence. It will promote enthusiasm and the ability to inspire others and to move into new businesses with courage and confidence.

JUPITER CONJUNCT RAHU

 Because Jupiter is moving first toward a conjunction with Rahu into June 2^nd in the true node system and will be within 3 degrees May 19-June 10^th in the true node system, we will see the darker side of Jupiter in Aries first.  The dark side of the transits when it is afflicted by Rahu is that it will promote a me-first attitude and be insensitive to others’ views and may fail to learn from its past mistakes.  This can also increase extravagance aggressive behavior, fundamentalist behavior and false optimism, gambling, getting into debt, the problems with taking too many risks.  Hence for the spring, be practical before you jump into larger expenditures of capital.  The stock market may like the Jupiter/Rahu conjunction as it will increase gambling and risk/taking at this time due to false optimism. At the moment that is a hope that rate hikes will stops and be followed by rate cuts, which the stock market always likes.  The problem here is not looking at the recessionary implications of the economy as fewer jobs mean more lay-offs and less spending and growth for the economy.   Aries governs sports equipment and defense and engineering and so stocks connected to those industry might spurt if they have good fundamentals.

The positive side of the Jupiter/Rahu conjunction is that it can increase technological advancement, engineering, and scientific discovery. As the conjunction gets tighter it can increase fundamentalism, over-spending, and problems with a toxic environment.  We have had too many toxic train derailments already. Does Jupiter finally create some action to prevent this problem? 

JUPITER CONJUNCT URANUS

Jupiter will be transiting within a five-degree conjunction with Uranus in the late degrees of Aries in March and April 2024. All things considered, this conjunction of Jupiter with Uranus is generally considered to be a fortunate aspect. This is one of the more magical conjunctions that we do not get that often as it increases creativity in technology. If you were born with this conjunction it can create high expectations for one’s future, create deep intelligence, and a love of learning and education. Usually, this conjunction is good for the stock market but can also lead to a very positive political and social revolution and the fight for freedom.  This is happening at the Pluto return to the US natal chart of July 4, 1776, and we also have a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.  which is the third of the Great American Eclipses with its Path of Totality dividing America from the Southwest to the Northeast this time and when it last happened in August 2017 it cut across from South Carolina to Oregon.

JUPITER IN THE NAKSHATRAS:

Jupiter in Ashwini: (Aries 0-13.20  April 21-June 21^st and retrograde from Nov. 26 to Dec. 30^th and Direct into Feb 3, 2024. )

Ashwini is one of the constellations of healing and this transit will support medical discoveries. Ashwini is owned by Ketu, and the connection increases spiritual devotion and mystical experience especially because Jupiter is connected to the Space element. This should be a fortunate time for the advancement of spirituality but obsession may take over from mid-May to Mid-June with Rahu in the way. 

Jupiter in Bharani (Aries 13.20-26.40  June 21-Nov. 26 and Feb. 3-April 16, 2024)

Bharani Nakshatras are connected to Venus and Lord Yama so Jupiter here promotes personal transformation and artistic creativity.  Jupiter/Venus combinations can increase extravagance, overspending, and self-indulgence. It may increase political and social turmoil and problems in the financial world. 

Jupiter in Krittika (Aries 26.40-Taurus 10 April 16-May 1^st 2024 and then in the Taurus section until June 12, 2024)

Krittika is ruled by the Sun and is the constellation connected to the Pleiades. Jupiter where will support good leadership and wisdom and this is sorely needed as we move into 2024 and a huge change for the United States.
