 VENUS IN TAURUS: MAY 18-JUNE 12TH.
Venus moved into Taurus last night but it is a more complicated transit this year as it is combust or hidden in the night sky and moving toward a planetary war with Jupiter into May 22nd. The first part of the transit in the constellation of Krittika (Pada 2) May 18-22ndis more troubling as it can lead to stormy emotions, relationship problems, strong emotional reactions, and misperceptions of reality.
The conjunction with Jupiter while both are combust creates a situation where expansion and buying energy are out of control. Resist the urge to drown your trouble emotions from Rahu and Mars by running to the mall and maxing out your credit cards and stuffing your stomach with that extra piece of cheesecake.  There could be a tendency to book a vacation that you cannot control. It will be important to control you sensual cravings and manage your money at this time as the energies will seem out of control. I have seen this conjunct lead to peace accords but given Mars/Rahu still tightly conjunct and Venus and Jupiter both combust, there will be overtures and hope but it will not manifest.
If you are Taurus or Libra rising or have a strong Venus in your chart, you may feel expansive, refined, pleasant, comfortable, kind, generous, artistic, and strong in relationship skills. Much of this is upended by relationship tensions and simmering anger beneath the surface.
Taurus brings the blessings of Krishna and Shiva and is one of the more material signs of abundance. This transit with Venus in its sign creates a Malavya Yoga for Taurus rising and indicates the highest manifestation of Venus’s qualities so it is a good time to enjoy good food, the arts, and home while pursuing partnerships and romance. Finances can be good depending on what cycle you are running as transits are 20% of impact with dashas being 80%.  It is a time to feel at home and to move forward solidly in your life with lots of Grace. Still there is a false sense about all of this as inflation is still running hot even if we are told it is all wonderful.
Libra rising will experience an eighth house transit of Venus in its sign and this is a time for personal transformation and unexpected money coming from lotteries, insurance, or other unexpected sources. Meditation and spiritual experience could be powerful and so a good time to take a spiritual retreat and withdraw from the senses.
