These fascinating combinations will require a series of articles but we have to start somewhere and it is one of the more monumental events of recent years.
Venus conjunct Rahu and Neptune in Pisces in early February is fascinating enough. As a Neo-Vedic astrologer, I think the outer planets are very important. In watching Mundane or World Event astrology for over 30 years, you cannot ignore the impact of the outer planets on guiding the evolution of politics and changes in world consciousness.
According to Western Astrology, Neptune is the owner of Pisces, the natural 12th sign of the zodiac. Pisces is connected to the subconscious mind, mystical experiences and dreams, and spiritual movements. The 12th house is a planet connected to enlightenment, transcending beyond material existence and fusing into the realm of the Divine. It is connected to intuition and deep compassion for the world and our planet.
Rahu, or the North Node is a planet of desire and often connected to strongest drive in this life-time. In Jupiter’s sign, it can lead to strong spiritual desires to fuse with the Divine and to escape the reality of the material world. 

Venus is exalted in Pisces and tends to bring out a deep love of beauty and a deep refinement in the artistic ream which infuses the Divine essence of creativity It can lead to idealized relationships and has a high level of compassion for others and intuition.

The first conjunction of Venus/Rahu/Neptune in early Feb. is a mystical combination for deep artistic creativity which seems to flow from the Divine. For artists, Feb. could provide an amazing opportunity to complete great art effortlessly.  Relationships could move into a dreamy fantasy world where idealized love creates fantasy about a future in paradise.  Venus/Rahu combinations create great passion and that can be expressed sexually or with idealized love through poetry and flow.  You may be inspired to use your artistic visions to help humanity.  John Lennon has a Rahu/Neptune conjunction of about 14 degrees and it is with Mars and the Sun in Virgo.

This combination increases psychic and intuitive abilities.  You may have wild and creative dreams that are visionary and some of them may be accurate.  Your spiritual practices may seem deep and your love and craving for the mystical and for enlightenment may increase. Follow your heart with this inner movement.

So Feb. will seem rather idealized in these realms.  Venus goes retrograde on March 1st and then moves back for a 2nd pass into early April but it will have Saturn showing up to spoil the party. We will discuss Saturn and this conjunction in Part 2.

SNEAK PREVIEW: PART 2

We discussed the impact of Saturn conjunct Neptune on major political and cultural change. It tends to produce rebellion, war and revolution and sometimes violent religious persecution.  Saturn and Neptune were conjunct in Aquarius in 1523-24 when Martin Luther saved a group of Catholic nuns and Hungry declared a decree for the execution of Luther’s followers. Given the divided conflicts around refugees and their deportation, we do get something more dramatic happening this spring in sanctuary cities?  Given the troubles in Europe with France and German and the rise of the conservatives over the liberals, we wonder if the EU will survive with these energies spinning.

The Rahu/Saturn conjunction in Virgo in Dec. 1773 produced the Boston Tea Party.  In Nov. 1989 , the Saturn/Neptune conjunction exact in Sagittarius began the start of the dissolution of the Soviet Union with the tearing down of the Berlin Wall.  By Dec. 26, 1991, the formal dissolution of the Soviet Union was complete with Rahu and Neptune conjunct with 6 degrees in Sagittarius.
