EYE ON SPIRITUAL ASTROLOGY: DIVINE GRACE AND ASTROLOGY
In Vedic astrology, Jupiter represents the Guru of the spiritual realm and Venus the Guru of the material realm. Jupiter is stronger now having gotten out of the material sludge of Capricorn and is moving toward stationary/ retrograde action into June 20th in Aquarius, a friendly and philosophical sign. Many think that Jupiter does well in this sign and the 12 year Kumbha Mela in India is a celebration of Jupiter going into Aquarius. Venus is in Gemini and doing well in a friend’s sign. Ketu moved into Saturn’s constellation of Anuradha (Scorpio 3.20-16.39) on June 1st and may be stirring up things (we will write more later). Despite all the chaos from COVID, war drums, and crazy politics, the Divine is still running the show. Even when the masters of the Great Reset, Bill Gates, and the head of the Davos group want to create ugly changes in our world, we are starting to see their puffed-up egos with their billions thinking they can mold the planet to their wills. We think that God has other plans and that the eclipses this month will continue to unveil the hidden secrets of the Covid bioweapon from China and Faucci’s real agenda.
Both Gurus, Jupiter, and Venus bring Divine grace to counter the malefics.  We have to keep it all in perspective.  The malefics create problems and suffering to spur us to move off of the wheel of karma and they are doing their jobs.  If we did not have problems, we would not be motivated to move toward enlightenment and get off the wheel of Karma.  Behind each challenge is a deep school to move us another notch forward on our journey to get it right this time and make better decisions. It’s like e Bill Murray in Groundhog Day (1993). By the end of the movie, he has learned to be a great humanitarian and great person after starting out the movie as a jerk. Our planet needs a lot of lessons about helping others and taking care of the environment and there are some good things happening there also.
The astrology is not very easy now with Saturn retrograde in its own sign of Capricorn giving it more power to create stress and suffering and Rahu and Ketu in their exalted signs also have more power to create trouble. Ketu, in the swamp, Scorpio, is churning up deep unconscious fears for us to wallow in– and they are very real. Emotions seem very real and but we have to remember, that like the moon changing signs every 2.5 days, they will quickly shift–unless Saturn or Rahu is on top of your natal moon doing a slow dance. The mind cannot have a mood on an abstract basis so we tend to externalize them and they that and we suffer forever. Venus now in Ardra Nakshatra (Betelgeuse/Gemini 6.40-20.00) until June 14th can bring great suffering and tears of misery in our relationship to move you toward deeper spiritual experiences. Ketu in Scorpio is digging up deep issues to heal until next March and not without some pain and bursts of anger.
Still, Jupiter and Venus are there holding up our tragedies and suffering.  The trick is not to get caught up in complaining and Saturn or the mind will be taken over with “woe is me.’ The secret is Jupiter and gratitude.  Before you go to bed every night make sure you are thankful for what is happening and working in your life and thank the Divine and praise yourself and give yourself a pat on the back for all the great things you do. And given the world situation, help others with kind words, donating to charity, and stay away from the media and their attempt to divide us into two opposing hateful groups. What is wrong with those people?
I have just finished a Rahu/Ketu period in January and it was actually a wonderful period even though I dreaded it much of my life. We cannot live in fear but have to live in positive expectation that the Divine is always doing the best for us–kind of like our Mom. When we look back at the toughest periods of our lives, the Divine is somehow there to rescue us and get us through.  The secret is to remember that we have made it through tough times and we are a better person for it and maybe if we had the hard times, we would be the person we are today.
So in the middle of tough times, we have to remember there is a hidden hand guiding us and plotting our highest good and we always have to accept and be thankful. When the mind fights it and says this should not be happening, we create immense tension for our soul.  What is, is?  Find the peace in the disturbances and you will sail through life. Meditation, yoga, and spiritual practice help a lot and have been a life-saver but we have the willpower to not over-agonize our talk about our problems to our friends for hours.  We are given free will to make new choices, to be a kinder, more compassionate person every day. We can always do service work and donate money to others in trouble and that will lessen our own suffering and make us realize, it’s not so bad.  We really have so much.
I am fortunate to have a spiritual Guru in my life and he answers when I write and miracles happen in the nick of time. I just have to remember to be thankful at all times and not to complain or feel victimized. Â I am very grateful.
Even the most difficult 12th house challenges like hospitalization or imprisonment are often self-imposed exiles and are ways of checking out from emotional overwhelm when we cannot deal with them. Even these are like an incubation period happening like a caterpillar in a cocoon transforming into something beautiful.  Find the courage to make new and better choices, to tackle your most difficult grunge and freedom can be yours. Or, complain, blame, repeat mistakes, and your prison sentence in your own mind will not be paroled and it is your own doing.
The Unseen Hand of the Divine is always guiding us.  I leave you with one of my favorite passages from Emmanual’s Book:
“You are safe. You are safe.Â
You are infinitely safe.
Oh, my dears, if I could only make it possible for you to experience the loving, gentle kindness of the universe, the balance, the fairness, the sweetness and the joy. Â
There would never be another moment of fear in your entire lives. And this is true.”
