EYE ON THE SKY: KETU IN SWATI OCT 18 2022- JULY 6, 2023 and RAHU IN ASHWINI UNTIL NOV 29 2023—EXCHANGE OF NAKSHATRAS
The nodes move slowly backward through the Zodiac and when they shift they have a long-term influence. In the Mean Node system, Ketu is in the constellation of Arcturus (Swati in Libra, 6.40-20.00) and stays there until July 6th in the true node system.   Swati is owned by Rahu and Rahu is transiting through Ashwini (Aries 0-13.20) until Nov. 29th in the True Node system. It is owned by Ketu.
People born in Swati nakshatra (ie having their moon or Rising Sign) have a very material pursuit in life and Venus which owns Libra luxuriates in comfort and Rahu amplifies the desire for materialism. Eventual dissatisfaction may turn people more toward spirituality depending on other indications in the chart.  Swati’s presiding deity is Vayu the God of wind. Transits through here can stir up more cyclones and hurricanes and tornadoes around the world. People born in this nakshatra are very loyal, intelligent, fair, and have the ability to serve, they have very balanced personalities. Many rich people are born in this nakshatra but after attaining wealth and comfort the person is not satisfied with life. They eventually get tired being pursuing materialistic pleasure and turn to spirituality.
Ketu is dissatisfied with this Nakshatra as it dislikes the material world. It may try to destroy the material world because it cannot deal with the conflict. It struggles here and brings up storms and the lesson here is to learn detachment and balance. Given the precarious economic times, we live in with the stock market and bond markets, this transit should bring more chaos.
Relationships are going to be a huge source of transformation through early July and into Nov. with Ketu in Libra and Swati. Ketu wants to reject sexuality and Rahu wants to revel in it. There will be a great deal of anxiety about relationships and the ability to meet the demands of others. There can be fights about buying more stuff and Ketu wants to reject the material world and Rahu wants more.Â
The solar eclipse this year on April 20th  is at 5 Aries in Aswini  Nakshatra and will spearhead transformation for the Libra/Aries axis if you are ruled by Mars or Venus.Â
EXCHANGE OF NAKAHSTRAS:Â
Rahu has been in Ashwini (Ketu’s Nakshatra) since Feb. 6th in the true node system and the exchange of nakshatras creates complicated and confusing energy—particularly around relationships.
There is a poisonous and entangled and complex knot created between Rahu and Ketu and it wants to resolve deeply karmic relationships but Rahu in Aries is confused by the Martian ego who is blind to being encrusted in being right and having it their way.  Rahu is channeling Ketu’s energy in Swati and Libra creates more cravings for material wealth– and does so with passion and at all costs;  Ketu loses his spiritual mission.Â
Ketu in Swati and Libra is struggling with karmic relationships but is confused about how to find a way out.  Rahu is also confused—and that is its nature. Saturn aspecting Rahu now and Mars being there from the Paravartana Yoga increases the frustration and indecision about difficult and confusing relationships.  Inevitably the solution has to be in moving away from retaliation and blocking energies and back to affection and love.
Ketu wants to reject relationships and let them go rather than work out the karmic patterns and make them whole again.  Inevitably, finding God in your partner and realizing the Divine in all beings takes away the possessiveness and hurt, and challenges.Â
The Solar Eclipse on April 20th will energize the Aries/Libra karmic axis creating a crisis that will need to be resolved over the coming 6 months—or at least until early July when Ketu moves into Chitra nakshatra. Because Chitra is is owned by Mars, we doubt any resolution will happen until December.
