MARS IN LEO–JUNE 30-AUGUST 6TH–A BURST OF PASSION

EYE ON THE SKY: MARS IN LEO/REGULUS

Mars moves into Leo late in the day on June 30^th but is still weak in early degrees until early July 2^nd  with the planet in the difficult gandanta area (Leo 0-0.40 degrees) where problems seem tied up in knots and difficult to deal with.  Deep karmic suffering can plague the mind if you regret the past too much so let it go. Use the present to act and create new greatness in your life.

Mars stays close to Venus stirring up passion and sexual desire and relationship fighting until the middle of July when they are over 5 degrees apart and then Venus goes retrograde on July 22^nd and will move away from Mars. 

Mars in Leo can have an inflated ego but is dynamic and fiery and ready to move forward after languishing in a water sign for the last 6 weeks.  Strong self-expression, assertion, and passion come into being as Mars wants to shine and express his prowess.   Time to power into those projects that you have put off and get them done. 

Mars in Magha nakshatra  (Leo 0-13.20) can bring out strong leadership qualities and in Leo, it is strong to take on the world’s challenges and conquer big problems. Use the fire energy to act boldly and courageously.  Mars in the first three degrees (0.3.20 Leo) next week will be in dharma to do great and right action to benefit mankind. Use the energy to help all the people around the world by donating time and funds to help people in need.

Saturn opposes Mars at 12 degrees Leo into July 22^nd and the impact of that opposition will be felt strongly mid-month creating indecision and frustration in moving forward.  Saturn wants to slow Mars down and create restraints and rules which never go well with Mars.  If you are ruled by Mars or Scorpio rising, good month to do the mantra, Aum Namo Bhagavate Rudraya to deal with the energy.   You can also make donations to support the blind or those who need eye operations.   

Mars is now also connected to Ketu which brings up regrets about the past and Ketu is in  Mars’s Nakshatra of Chitra.  This rare exchange of nakshatras creates fear of violence or brings up subconscious tendencies for accident or injury.  The remedy is to dig deep into Mars’ courage and in the ability to transform and be more in your power over the next three weeks and stay alert while driving and around the house and continue to do the Warrior pose to stimulate the third eye and your sense of alertness. Stay rested so that you are not sleeping and fail to see potential problems.

Magha is in Leo and modern astronomers refer to it as a group of stars called Al Jabha, Adhafera, rasalas,  and Alterfand. Magha constellation is associated with lions and thrones. The principal star of the constellation is the well-known Regulus known as the seat of power.  It means the great and beneficent one, the bountiful one, and its symbol is the throne and connects the constellation to royalty, honor, and achievement. It signifies material success and prestige in the world realm.
