EYE ON THE SKY: SUN CONJUNCT KETU FEB 22ND
This is a weird week between the eclipses with the Sun conjunct Ketu on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd using the true node system.  Sun and Ketu are both fiery planets and their conjunct will increase that element. This transit brings up a lot of rajasic energy which creates a lot of fiery energy to want to change everything. There is not enough calming satvic energy to keep one balanced. One may want to fly off the handle in all directions or lash out a boss or supervisor or loved one if you cannot reign in this energy. Drink coconut water or coconut milk to calm the fire. Channel the energy into exercise, drink calming herbal teas and stay away from spicy food which will fan the flames. Find ways to ground yourself with gentle yoga, long walks in cool woods or being near more water.
We will have watch Feb. 19-25th as the Sun moves toward Ketu. If you have this in your natal chart within 3 degrees it will be activated particularly if you have a birthday Feb. 19-25th this week. This can bring up past regrets and karma blocking living in the present moment. It could lead to loss of reputation or embarrassment if you have that natal signature in your chart and you may feel unsupported from organizations or government. It could bring up difficult energy with your father and wanting to shed past dark energy here and feelings of rejection or guilt.
It may also bring up intense anger at times as both planets are on fire. The Solar eclipse into Feb. 26th will bring a climax to this energy but much of it will be felt this week. If you are running a Sun/Ketu or Ketu/Sun period these issues will come up for a major crisis to reinforce your whole identity.
Christina Collins reminded us to be alert while driving as if you are in a Sun/Ketu or Ketu/Sun period Saturn/Ketu or Ketu/Saturn or Rahu/Ketu or Aquarius rising, you may be more vulnerable to mishaps. Libra, Pisces and Cancer rising or moon signs may be more vulnerable because the transit is happening in the Libra (6th), Cancer (8th) and Pisces (12th) houses.
The solar eclipse on Sunday, Feb. 26th will create a climax and have an impact for a number of months. Luckily we have the Vedic holiday, Maha Shiva Raitra on Feb. 24th and it will be a very spiritual time to transform all of these energies. We will write more about this later.
Again, charts are very individual and we do not ever want to stereotype people by sign but sometimes its a way of putting one’s finger right away on a core problem for the person’s entire life.
