EYE ON THE SKY: VENUS RETROGRADE INTO CONSTELLATION OF PEGASUS
Venus retrograded into new constellation and stays there until April 20th as it moves toward stationary/direction motion on Saturday, April 14th. This constellation is know by Western astronomers as Pegasus (sidereal Aquarius 20-Pisces 3.20) and the in the Vedic lore is called Purvabhadrapada. On the positive side, this constellation teaches to lead a life of personal sacrifice with no expectation of glory. On the dark side it can bring out sexual obsessions and greedy power struggles. It is channeling mixed energy with the stationary Saturn squaring it closely within a degree and we have written about this being a time for revaluation relationships and break-ups. Still in transit, it will be channeling a strong Jupiter that is the auspicious star of Spica in Virgo and bring out the higher qualities and Venus/Jupiter connections always feel good.
Venus/Jupiter connections can increase over-spending and over-shopping but they always feel good and because you feel good you tend to indulge. Have to watch cravings for sweets and if there is no outlook for sexual passion, you may have to find a good masseur and be sure to curb overspending into the end of the month.
Because Jupiter is strong in Chitra Nakshatra (Virgo 23.20-Libra 6.40) until April 14th, some of the higher energy of the constellation comes out which means Venus is channeling prosperity through cleverness, and great logic and strategic skills in “reading” people. The spiritual side of Venus may come out in its journey and inspiration by Jupiterian wisdom which is still strong in transit This constellation supports skill in saving money but can lead to relationship problems in leaning too much on one’s spouse for support or being controlled by then.
Overall Jupiter/Venus connections feel good and increase happiness, This transit is generally happy one. Moreover Venus is still in it exalted sign of Pisces, a sign of Jupiter until May 30th and for the most part the planet of love and relationship will have its maximum energy flowing and bring out its highest artistic and creative talents and deep emotional connects for deep loving relationships. .
Venus, a very sexual planet, will be tempted by the dark energies through this transit so be careful with new partners. For a constellation ruled by Jupiter, this star is connected with negative human traits including paranoia, pessimism, debauchery, violence, cruelty and erratic sexual behavior.
