SUN IN AQUARIUS: FEBRUARY 12 – MARCH 14
Sun enters Aquarius: February 12th at 16:17 EST
The Sun will go into Aquarius on Monday, February 12th and stay there until March
14th. Leos sometimes benefit from the Sun throwing a full aspect into their
own house but it can bring up stubborn relationship issues but loyalty always
will win out.
The Sun is weak in transit when it is at 29.40-0.40 degrees and it is not considered an auspicious time to start new events. This will be felt most on Monday, Feb. 12th most of the day and can create a bit of emotional volatility and probably will not help the volatile stock and commodity markets.
The first part of the transit continuing through Dhanishta (Delphini
constellation, Aquarius 0-6.40) through February 18th and is trickier
February 12 – 15th as the Sun is debilitated in D-9 where it lacks confidence
and needs to think more of others and so it is not able to shine as much.
Another reason to get out of your pity-party next week and go out and help others and get through any low self-esteem issues. Energy picks up February 16 – 18th.
Going to spiritual services on a Sunday will uplift the energy and staying rested will be important. This is particularly relevant if you are Leo rising or have Sun in Aquarius. As always, I try to write general forecasts for the populace but transits are 20% of prediction and subject to the larger cycles you are running. Reading charts is like reading DNA strands and people are so unique.
The Sun then moves toward conjunction with Mercury, the planet of
communication, and the link between the mind and matter, exactly into
February 17th around 4 degrees Aquarius at the eclipse point. This can create a very busy and
buzzy mind so watch the intensity if you are Aquarius rising or Leo or Virgo
or Gemini rising within a few days of this exact aspect. We also have a partial solar eclipse on February 15th and we will write about that more later so this is an afflicted transit of the Sun.
The Sun is afflicted by Saturn’s glance during this transit with that aspect
peaking into February 25th but having a strong influence February 22 –
28th. One has to watch health issues during this transit and beware of
rebelling against authority figures like bosses or government officials.
Aquarius is a very innovative sign but when the Sun is afflicted during this
transit, if you are Aquarius rising or Aquarius Sun, it can bring up low self-esteem,
lack of self-promotion, rebellious activism, depression, cynicism,
gullibility, isolation. So despite not wanting to be social, you are going to have
to get out there! Venus will be supportive in transit and will prevent those
energies from getting out of hand.
The end part of the transit in Jupiter’s constellation of Purva Bhadrapada March 5-18th is the best part of the transit as it increases confidence and self-esteem but it can bring the quirky secretive and bizarre energies of that constellation which we have written about before.
