The 27 constellations of the zodiac impact our mental nature and psychology and provide more information than the 12 signs of the zodiac. Many of you are familiar with some of their English names like Orion (Mrigashira), Betelgeuse (Ardra), and Arcturus (Swati). Their mythological stories connected to the Puranas also provide deep insights into the lessons we learn particularly when our moon, rising constellation, or Atmakaraka are involved. For example, Jyeshta is ruled by Indra, King of the gods and the authoritative leadership of Indra brings people with this constellation that power, as well as some of the sexual flaws as suggested in the mythology. There, are also equivalent Greek gods for these constellations and their stories that will be brought in as well as a rich tapestry of personality qualities for a relationship, health, business and strength and flaws for each constellation.
This class will be different than my first class on Nakshatras and will bring in my dear friend Jeff Poole who is writing a book on these impulses in the nakshatras also show subtle impulses of the movement of consciousness and its flow in our lives.
A later 2nd class this year will focus on Nakshatra techniques and will be more advanced.

About the Instructors
Jeff V. Poole has been studying Vedic knowledge for over 44 years. His interest in meditation, Vedic Astrology, and the Vedic sciences began at age 19. In 1980 he attended a month-long International Symposium on Vedic Science in Delhi, India. Following that symposium, he traveled the US lecturing on Vedic Science. Barry Rosen has been practicing Vedic astrology since 1987. He has visited and studied in India on 4 occasions and has spoken numerous times at the American Council of Vedic Astrology Conferences in Sedona, AZ since 1999 and also the British Association of Vedic Astrologers in London since 2006.
